Advanced Technology

Modern endodontic care depends on more than experience alone. Our office uses advanced imaging, magnification, digital systems, and advanced tools that support accurate diagnosis, gentle treatment, and a more streamlined patient experience.

Who may be a good candidate

Signs retreatment may be worth considering

Not every previously treated tooth should be retreated, but many can be. The key question is whether the tooth remains restorable and whether there is a clear clinical reason to believe another attempt can improve the outcome.

Symptoms

Pain that returned after a prior root canal

Some teeth become symptomatic again because infection persisted in difficult anatomy or reentered through a leaking restoration.

  • Recurring pain or pressure when chewing
  • Lingering tenderness in a previously treated tooth
  • Intermittent flare ups months or years later
Referral reasons

A previous root canal that deserves a specialist review

Your general dentist may refer you when the diagnosis is unclear, when symptoms do not match the X rays well, or when advanced technology is needed to decide whether retreatment or another option makes the most sense.

  • Missed canal suspicion or complex anatomy
  • Calcification, posts, or restorative obstacles
  • A tooth you hope to save if there is a predictable path forward

Technology forward endodontics

Tools that support accuracy, comfort, and efficiency

Our office uses advanced technology to support accurate diagnosis, gentle and effective treatment, and an extraordinary experience for patients. From microscope enhanced visualization to 3D imaging and secure digital communication, each system is chosen to help us see more clearly, plan more precisely, and communicate more efficiently.

Surgical operating microscopes

Enhanced magnification and illumination

Surgical microscopes have transformed endodontic microsurgery and precision treatment. High level magnification and illumination help reveal fine anatomy, hidden canals, fractures, and details that are easy to miss with the naked eye.

Digital radiography

Fast, detailed imaging with less radiation

Digital radiographs are safer, faster, and more diagnostically useful in endodontics than conventional film X rays. They can reduce radiation exposure significantly while allowing images to be viewed and discussed quickly during the visit.

3D imaging

CBCT for clearer diagnosis and treatment planning

When we use 3D imaging, we can evaluate teeth, roots, and surrounding structures from multiple angles with a high level of accuracy. This supports improved diagnosis, more confident treatment planning, and a better understanding of the source of complex tooth pain.

TDO Software

Secure, paperless communication for patients and referring dentists

We use TDO Software to manage patient records and information through a paperless workflow that makes appointments more convenient. Patients can securely complete medical history and consent forms online before their visit, while referring doctors can send referrals and receive reports and imaging through a HIPAA compliant portal.
